I’ve updated the Proudblack Wordpress Theme . I did some minor CSS and design changes and added dropdown menus to the main navigation .

Moving on , I want to announce a new WP Theme I’m working on . It’s called PhotoSnap and , as you’ve guessed , it’s a theme designed for photography blogs . I can’t say exactly when it’s gonna be ready , but expect it to be online and available for download sometime next month .

Proudblack is a simple and clean wordpress theme . I’ve been working on this theme for a while in my spare time and ,finally, it’s ready to be released.
Proudblack is best used as a personal theme : it includes Flickr , Twitter and Lifestream support .

Wordpress 2.7 or 2.7.x needed.

V 1.0 Features :

Tabbed sidebar area (Mootools) containing : Latest Posts , Latest Comments and Tags.
Widget Ready Sidebar
Integrated Theme Options : You can enter your Twitter and Flickr ID’s and customize the copyright area
Lifestream Support
Custom page template for Archives page

I need a couple of “testers” to test it and give me their feedback(bugs , what can be improved etc) before I’ll launch it.So if you’re interested drop a comment below and I’ll send you the theme.

It’s here…Finally!

Well , after a couple of months of hard work , I’ve finally finished my brand new design/site. As you can see , a lot of things changed since the last version of IacobIonut.com . First of all the color scheme is completely different . I wanted a brighter design , so I got rid of the dark wood background and opted for a bright brown with black text.

The Homepage

One of the things that bothered me about the old homepage was that it didn’t have that much space to showcase my designs. So my main objective was getting more exposure for my portfolio on the mainpage . I started thinking of ways to do that and realized that the best way to show my projects is by using a slider …in my case, Coda Slider.

The homepage is the only place where I use a three-column layout to display my content. The rest of site has a two column layout , much like the old one. I’ve also used sIFR to display my headers on the mainpage.

The Main Blog

I wanted something pretty straightforward for the rest of the site and as you can see , the layout and content positioning are similar to my first site. The main addition is the lifestream plugin in the sidebar section . Also , the footer part is a lot simpler , with only three sections instead of five . The about and contact pages have a slightly different sidebar : I’ve replaced twitter and flickr with my social profiles .

Not 100% complete

I still have to tweak some minor things , I’m not really sure if I’m gonna support IE6 (cause it’s crap)
but ,overall, I’m happy with how it turned out. I’d love to hear what you think about it…
